LifiRent ("we", "us", "our") is a property management platform operated online at lifirent.com. We help property managers and landlords manage their apartments, tenants, invoices, and payments digitally.
2. Data We Collect
We collect the following types of personal data:
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, company name when you create an account.
- Tenant information: Names, phone numbers, and email addresses of tenants added by property managers.
- Financial data: Invoice amounts, payment records, rent amounts, and expense records.
- Property data: Apartment addresses, details, and lease terms.
- Communications: Messages sent between property managers and tenants within the platform.
- Documents: Photos of receipts, bills, and other documents uploaded by users.
- Usage data: Browser type, device information, and basic analytics to improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Data
- To provide the property management service (invoices, payments, communications).
- To send notifications via WhatsApp Business API (rent reminders, payment confirmations).
- To generate financial reports for property managers.
- To provide tenant portal access via unique secure links.
- To improve our service and fix technical issues.
- To communicate with you about your account and service updates.
4. WhatsApp Notifications
We use the official WhatsApp Business API (Meta) to send notifications to tenants and property managers. These include rent reminders, payment confirmations, and tenant portal access links. WhatsApp messages are sent only to phone numbers provided by property managers for their tenants. You can opt out of WhatsApp notifications by contacting your property manager.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region). We use encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transfer. Authentication is handled through industry-standard protocols. Documents are stored in private, access-controlled storage buckets.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only with:
- Supabase: Our database and authentication provider.
- Vercel: Our hosting provider.
- Meta (WhatsApp Business API): For sending WhatsApp notifications.
- Stripe: For payment processing (when applicable).
7. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your personal data.
- Rectification: Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Object: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

8. Cookies
We use essential cookies only for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. Tenant portal access uses a secure httpOnly cookie for authentication.
9. Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Financial records may be retained longer as required by law.
